The Loop Project is a creative response to a perceived need for change – both from an environmental and social perspective.
We believe bigger is not always better. Business and life does not have to be solely motivated by profit. The time has come for a move away from the unending pursuit of growth.
There is a place in our society for mission-based enterprises and our mission is to be a part of the change that is required to move societies’ values away from individualistic consumption and towards collective resilience – respecting the world and our place within it.
We believe change is essential due to the challenges posed by three interrelated issues – environment, energy and economy. As a response to this The Loop Project was set up as a ‘transitional business’ through which we aim to use the skills we currently have in more effective ways whilst learning new skills and developing ourselves and our business in order to be able to cope with the challenges that lie ahead.
We want to help join the loops that we believe are the key to a better way of life.
We hope to provide help and inspiration to others who feel the need for change.
Our ‘transitional business’ model means we offer a somewhat unconventional, diverse collection of services as we develop new skills and go through our transition. Our current main areas of interest are:
Web and Graphic Design – We work exclusively on community and environmentally focused projects and specialise in local food promotions and creative enterprises (read about our customers here).
Andy’s Bread - “Realbread” handmade in Llanidloes using organic ingredients. Available from Greak Oak Foods.
Growing – both in terms of food and mind.
Please have a look around our site, see what we’ve been up to and where we’re heading. We’d love to hear from you with any comments or suggestions.
