The Loop Project is…
A multidisciplinary creative environment and arts project.
A “Transitional Business”, constantly evolving.
A creative response to the need for change.
The Loop Project was set up in 2009 as a response to the challenges we saw posed by three big issues of our time – environment, energy and economy.
The aim was to make best use of the skills we currently had, in ways that would have a positive impact relating to these issues.
At the same time we would learn new skills for the future and begin to implement them in our lives and work.
As such, The Loop Project is constantly evolving, it is a business in transition. We began life as a Web and Graphic Design partnership and over time this has evolved into The Loop Project you see today. We offer a somewhat unconventional, diverse collection of services, from pizzas to posters, which constantly changes as we learn new skills and undergo transition.
Our current main areas of work are:
Andy’s Bread – “Realbread” handmade in Llanidloes using organic ingredients. Available Wednesday to Saturdays from Greak Oak Foods and Thursdays from Cultivate at Newtown Market Hall and Thursday-Saturday from The High Street Deli (Newtown).
Graphic Design – Studio Mayfly is the graphic design branch of The Loop Project. Based at Unit D of the Old Station Building in Llanidloes, Leanne produces things of beauty to help creative and environmentally focused community projects and businesses promote themselves.
Research Consutancy – we also find time to get behind a desk to do some old-school research projects from time to time.
